a girl behind the bars
sitting back, looking from afar
a moment of silence
in rembering her friends
missing them, it  kills her inside
it's a feeling no one can easily hide

i see you talking just when i came by
do you mind if you'd give me a try
i'd be here, sitting next to you
i'll be here, even without a clue
you can gather your thoughts
and tell me when you're ready to talk

don't you worry about having a friend
`coz i will be here listening as you share

naaalala mo pa nung tayo’y unang nagkita?
hindi inakalang ika’y makikilala
mundo ko at mundo mo’y sadyang pinagtagpo
nararamdama’y bakit hindi natin maitago

naaalala mo pa ba nung tayong dalawa pa?
minuminutong magkausap, oras ay hindi inaalala
mga pangarap, magkasabay nating binuo
alam mong ito’y hindi isang biro

naaalala mo pa ba tuwing tayo’y magkasama?
sabay na naglalakad at hawak kamay pa
araw man o gabi hindi natin napapansin
ang daan na malakaran tila ating inangkin

naaalala mo pa ba nung sinabi mong ako lang talaga?
ako’y di makapaniwala at sadyang nabahala
ika’y di nagsalita, walang kibo sa aking drama
kaya sagot sa tanong ko’y hindi na maikakaila

hindi ko maintindihan
iyong paliwanag akin namang pinakinggan
oras mong akin lang datirati
anung nangyari, ako sayo ngayo’y may kahati
masakit isipin, ika’y di matawag na akin
mahirap tanggapin, puso ko’y iyo pa ring alipin

ang mundo nating dalawa tila tuluyang pinaglayo
habang mga luha ay lubusang pinatutuyo
mga puso nati’y di na pinagtagpo
dahil na rin sa sugat na natamo

Broken dreams

Pretension

you don’t have to ask me
just simply trust your senses

Lihim na pagtingin

hindi malaman ang gagawin
sa tuwing nakikita kang nakatingin
iyo na bang napapansin
ang aking mga nakaw na tingin

ako’y puno ng kaba tuwing lalapit ka
natutulala naman pag kaharap ka na
ang mga nais iparating
tila hindi ko kayang sambitin

kung kaya ko lang tanggapin
ang iyong sagot sa aking pag amin
madali sana itong sabihin
ngunit hindi ko kayang gawin

hanggang dito na lang ba ako
mananatiling takot
sa nararamdaman para sayo

You, your letter and lies

this is the place for you and me
let’s set things up close to reality
that some things are so called
as not meant to be

you’ve let your showpiece find her place
wide awake from all these fears
finding peace again, away from
your dim direction

once more, you wrote me a letter
full of lies, you can never fake
your lies, it eats up the best of what i sing
i’ve had enough, what you bring is only suffering

nakapagtataka, bat ako’y sumasaya
sa tuwing nakikita ka
ninanais na makasama ka

sa sandaling masilayan ka
mundo ko’y nag iiba
tumitigil at nagsasaya

ang pagmasdan ka
ay ang tangi kong ligaya
araw ko’y iyong pinagaganda

ano bang meron ka
na di makita sa iba
nakakahumaling ang titigan ka
nahuhulog ako sayong mga mata
hinahanap hanap ka
pag sa paningin ko’y nawawala ka na

kailan ba kita makikilala?
makakausap at makakasama?

Failure means success

Biographers have written that Thomas Edison, the inventor of the light bulb, made over nine hundred light bulbs that didn’t work before he finally made one that did. Nine hundred times he went to all the trouble of making a light bulb, plugging it in, flipping the switch, and watching while nothing happened. People must have thought he was nuts, but he kept on trying. According to Edison, every time he made a light bulb that didn’t work, he merely found “one more way not to make a light bulb.” Eventually, by the process of elimination, he made a light bulb that produced light. As a result, he is known as one of the greatest inventors of all time.

Most of us don’t realize how many failures successful people endure before they achieve their purposes. We only hear about the one time they succeed. What made Edison great was his commitment to making a light bulb. He didn’t let his failures discourage him. He hung in there and kept trying, even though he kept goofing up. We all have our own goals or dreams in life that we need to face and need to be reached. As we go in this world, there would be trials or circumstances and even failures that will actually help us reach success. How? In living this life, we should always put in mind that success depends on how we look at it. If we look at it negatively, we’ll end up loosing everything we worked hard for; in short, we’ll turn out to be one of the world’s greatest losers of all time. But in the positive way, we’ll also be getting a positive result. Looking forward to the future keeps us going on with our lives. So, why do we need to let old mistakes or misfortunes hold us down? We shouldn’t be bothered or be discouraged by adversity. Instead, meet it as a challenge, learn from it, forgive yourself or others and move on. We should be empowered by the courage it takes us to overcome obstacles. Being interested in others and what they might teach may also contribute to one’s success. But do not look for yourself in the faces of others. As far as who you are and who you will become goes – the answer is always within yourself. Believe in yourself; follow your heart and your dreams. You, like everyone will make mistakes but so long as you are true to the strength within your heart, you can never go wrong.

             We just have to remember that the best commitment that will help us stay in track is the commitment of not giving up. Being committed doesn’t mean you are successful all the time. It means you hang in there, you keep on making mistakes. Like Edison, you learn from your mistakes one more way not to make it to the top.
